It was Europe's turn to bask in some warmth whiel much of North America stayed cold
Warmer and drier than normal weather continued in Australia, with South Australia and
New South Wales having their warmest April on record -- the warm and dry conditions brought
quite a bit more sunshine than normal as well
Sea ice extent was low in Antarctica, contributing to signfiicantly warmer than normal
temperatures around the edges of the continent
